2003 521VX Tandem Axel Trailer Fiberglass Fenders

I have a 2003 521vx and I am looking for replacement fenders. Ranger does not have them as i have already called and asked. Trying to see what my options are here. Only reason i am looking at replacing is because i have some fiberglass damage on each fender that i need repaired and fiberglass shops want an arm and a leg to repair. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have 2005 520 that I love and have no desire to replace! However, my fenders were badly oxidized and needed to be addressed. So, I first thought I would have them wrapped but the shop couldn't get the film to work right and long term I don't think it would be a good bang for the buck! Spoke with the guys at the fiberglass shop where I purchased the boat and they assured me they could get them looking good again!
I knew it wasn't going to be cheap, but I also knew it was going to be cheaper than buying new if I could find them. I did have one fender that needed to be repaired blown tire caused some minor damage. I was keeping my fingers crossed for the outcome, but I also knew they would look better than what I had!
When I picked the boat, I was AMAZED with the job they did I thought the entire boat looked outstanding! The fenders original color was red, but I told them to change the color to white with black pinstripe much like the boat! It was without question money well spent!!
Now that the boat and trailer were looking so good I thought I would get her some new wheels! I looked at a bunch but really didn't see anything I wanted and thought I would see if I could replace with original stock wheels and of course they don't make them anymore for my year boat!
So, what I did do was had them powdered coat semi-gloss black and that tied things together even more!

Likely sprayed and clear coated them. Works well if done right. Seen rough faded hulls done and it turned out well

Jwoolard, did Ranger tell you they could make replacements or are they no longer making replacements?

They are no longer making lids for older boats, so doesn't suprise me if they won't make fenders either.

Ranger told me they no longer make them and do not know where to purchase any replacements from.

If you dont mind me asking, round about, how much did it cost you per fender to have them restored? Thanks for sharing. Sounds like your boat turned out nice.

Well that sucks! Hopefully some good replacement options will come around soon. My fenders are in decent shape now but it would be nice to have a solution for when they get damaged and need replaced.
Please keep us in the loop if you find solutions.

I had the fenders done, repaired some fiberglass on one, had them freshen the black bottom polish out, freshen up the clearcoat on both sides (red / gry) stripes! They kicked butt with this job 3,800!
Not bad for 20 years old and I have not had to put any extra money into her other than regular maintenance!! The motor runs very strong and she will stand up to any new boat! No plans for a new boat at today's prices and for what I paid to have her dialed in I will say again money well spent!

Looks just like my boat man except mine is a 2003 521vx. Same colors and all. Beautiful boat buddy. Fenders turned out great. I need to have that done to mine for sure. I wouldnt trade mine for anything. Love the boat. Just having issues figuring out the correct prop at this point. Put a tempest 24p on it and it hauls butt but at WOT the bow bounces and I can't figure out why. Had a 25p on it and could only turn 5700rpm so dropped down to a 24 and it rolls but bounces when running 72. Driving me crazy.
