Never been to a Big Bass Splash with 2300 plus boats are there likely to be a lot of confrontations on the water?

My idea of the ultimate Chit Show by the time you throw in a mix of wake boats and jet skies that are out this time of year.

I’ve never fished one either. But I don’t think it is 2300 boats, just entries. I think you can fish three entries to a boat but could be wrong. Still an insane number of people on a lake fishing for the same thing.

Not 2300 boats for sure. Each person in the boat is an entry. I also think they count each day of the event as an entry as well, so if you signed up for multiple days one guy would have 2-3 entries alone.

To much timber for all that. While 2300 is a lot and a crowd. If you have never been to the Bend it is unreal how big that lake is. For comparison Guntersville is 69,000 acres the Bend is 186,000 acres.

Sounds like my kind of lake. I will swap you a Lake Guntersville for a Toledo Bend.

These are the ultimate cheater tournaments . Had a guy pull in a cove on us one time , hey got your fish , oh, your not him , turned and blasted out of there . Was at Guntersville one year when they caught the basket guy . Someone hooked his basket with a crankbait and reported it . Game officials watched him . They let him go , he just loaded and left . If you watch , the big fish that wins the boat is always caught on the last day near the last weigh-in period . Most of the time the big fish weights exceed the big fish the pro tournaments weigh-in . No way to police these .

Its normally pretty good. The lake is packed but the times ive fished everybody understands and it goes pretty smooth. One time we had found a little clay spot just off the bank loaded with little ones and a guy in the back of a boat turned around and started throwing where we were throwing. I kind of gave them the look but you could tell the guy in front was moving along because he knew it wasnt right. Other than that everybody has been nice and respectful and actually seemed to be happy for those that caught fish around them

Fished at the Rayburn BBS last month and pretty much got to fish where we wanted (cashed a check too). When it is at Fork, it is crowded, but Rayburn and TB, not bad. It is a fun tournament.
