butt seat pedestal for lowe stinger 175?

Hi...new here and a new owner of a used (2014) Lowe Stinger 175. This is my first boat ever...
The boat has regular folding seats and Swivl Eze pedestals for the bow and the back deck but I want to get a butt seat for the bow. I've been looking online but am confused by all the different types of pedestal "pins". The ones that came with the boat just have a pin but it's not threaded and just slips into the existing mount holes. I don't know what this type of pin is called but a lot of the adjustable pedestals I've looked at all have "threaded" pins. Would that still work on my boat or do I have to go with the non-threaded type? If so, what is it called and can anyone recommend a good adjustable pedestal I should look at? I'm 6' tall and weigh about 235 if that matters. I just want something to lean on mostly...my legs and lower back get to me after about 3 hours fishing....

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Should just be a 3/4" pin mount. You could always get a cheap threaded post and see if it fits. If it does fit just return it and get a threaded adjustable post and go fishing. I think they also make a short 12 inch adjustable post that you could use to extend your existing post.

Yeah that 3/4" pin is pretty standard. Even if it's threaded that shouldn't matter on a non-threaded plate and too long of a pin is nothing a cutoff wheel can't fix. If you have no need for a hydraulic post I wouldn't get one. A standard pin pusher type will do fine. As for a leaning butt seat I HIGHLY suggest Tempress. Expensive but the best I've ever used over the years.

Here's the one I use and it does fine.

I think this is the one I have. Your back will thank you because it's a really nice seat.

Is that small spot with someone already on it really worth finding out the hard way they don't like company? Keep it a mystery and go somewhere else.

My 2012 Lund came with 238 pedestal bases on the front and rear deck, i ordered the boat with a Lund bike seat and hydraulic pedestal (which I paid way too much for). For the rear deck I bought an Attwood solid pedestal for $50.00 and just cut it to my size, for the seat I bought from bassboatseats.com at a small fraction of an OEM seat ($42.00) with shipping. This seat is better quality and more comfortable than the OEM. If you do buy a hydraulic post, store it in a vertical position all the way down (it relaxes the seals and makes it last longer), I also keep it in my basement for the winter. My original Swivel-Eze post is still working fine.

I have two different pedestals, One has a pin that sets the height, the other is hydraulic. They both work for me as I don't adjust it after it's set. The seat I like is flat on the front and curves in a bit on the back. It's wider than a bicycle seat and more comfortable to me. Get whatever pedestals that are on the original seats and you should e good.
