I'm going to go out on a limb here, I'd like to see Shin Fukae in the top 5 and possibly win this. He's one heck of an angler and one funny guy.
Been fishin' since I was 5 years old...Thanks Grandpa!

I’ve been looking forward to this one for awhile. Although it’s not really the best time for a heavy hitters event, as most fish are fresh off the spawn. If my dad wasn’t in hospice right now I’d be down there at my place for the whole week.

Barely... And on life support. I'd guess he is pretty deeply in the cut zone after this season.

If they do a Group A/B, I hope they zero the weights on the last day to show who is best over 7 days

Sorry to hear about your Dad. We had 3.5 inches of rain last night and it's been pouring on and off all day. Going to be a ton of trash flowing into the lake this week.

I'm probably going up for a day to watch from the water. The lake should be full and should have some color in the upper reaches of the Roanoke. Not pulling for anyone in particular, but would be nice to see it won by not using FFS.

I’m at R52 and my rain gauge hit 5” from the past 36 hours. By Thursday I expect the upper ends of the Roanoke and Blackwater arms to be unfishable. Very interested to see how the anglers use their FFS for one period. I expect to see a lot of dock flipping.

will be interesting with all the rain.. wonder if they changed FFS rules for this one since the format is different ?

Wondering with only 15 anglers per grouping if they will have a camera in every boat? That would be nice... I do love the fact that BPT went away from groupings this year - the format they have in place right now needs to not be messed with. I've been pretty annoyed with them to continue to make changes each season but I think they finally landed on the right format.

I imagine AEP is going to be pulling a lot of water with all this rain, so does that reposition the fish? Asking for a friend that sucks on SML.

I wonder how the night time shad spawn will impact the tournament. I would go watch but I am headed to Lake Champlain Friday night

Snce it’s raining this afternoon there is no need to hurry. If AEP is pulling a lot of water it might cause off shore to reposition, that’s not uncommon when they pull water to generate power. Right now we are at “full pond” after being down 12-18” the past couple of months. This year’s dry should be enjoying having more cover to hide in.

Good question about the shad spawn that was just getting started. The water temp has dropped a few degrees and I think that has slowed shad activity. I was on the lake this morning and only saw a handful of shad despite heavy cloud cover. There is also quite a bit of debris entering the lake north of the Rt. 122 bridge. I saw plenty of floating wood this morning big enough to ruin your day.
