Lake Fork Week - Elite Series

Going to be a fun one. Sounds like there are fish up shallow but could be more of a post spawn deal. What are you guys that are down that way predicting what’s going to go down. Been looking forward to watching this one since last years derby.

Shad spawn is on right now. Cold front this weekend knocked it back a bit so it would likely explode this coming week. Most bass are post spawn but lots of spawning fish. More areas have hydrilla this year then any in the past 6 years. Pick your poison. I think points and offshore bites will dominate. Someone will find them stacked with a deep diving crankbait.

Would love to see Lee win it but Milliken loves the Gizzard spawn and if his post yesterday is any indication of how he plans to fish Thursday it could be on. 500DD and a hogwalla on a Carolina rig. I just would love to see Lee win AOY. Dude is fishing his butt off this year.

They will smash them and will prove once again that Lake Fork is still one of the best lakes in the country.

Depends on if the gates are open or closed due to the amount of rain incoming this week as to what happens

Lake was over pull to begin with and it’s suppose to get a couple inches on Tuesday. We have gotten like 8in of rain in 2 days over here in Shreveport and I think they have gotten a little less. Mark Perry should be able tell us more

I personally think an open/closed fam gates on Fork is over played. The wind is what really moves a lot of water and fish.

A few years ago we watched MDJ smash 93 pounds in one day. South wind the next day killed that entire side of the creek.

How many century club belts are getting handed out? I bet we see at least 2 or 3.

My money is on a offshore scope shootout

If it was over it wasn’t by much, it did rain all day Wednesday and expecting up to 3in on Tuesday. I think the gates open deal is overrated, certainly hasn’t effected catching fish for me.

Should be a good one. Most likely all the final ten will be over the 100# mark.

Its about the same exact time when Lee won a few years back.. Im expecting him to blast them again, that was one of the funnest watches ive ever seen. He put on a clinic! If you havent seen it need to find it and watch, he had some awesome fish catches! 5+ lbers schooling up shallow on points/flats eating a big topwater that was awesome!
