    Hello all,

Been awhile. Lots of new members I see! Good to see.

Need help. What kind of oil lines should I get. Where can I get some oil lines for this merc? They have never been changed and maybe this is a good idea.

Also any other preventative maintenance ideas besides the typical yearly stuff. Would love to here your thoughts. I am pushing about 700 hours. Runs really strong now.

Our "Recommended Annual Maintenance.... for Optimax Engines" has a very good coverage for your engine model.

Oil lines are not normally going to be deteriorating unless you're well into the thousands of hours (or unless they've been nicked/cut by something). Very durable multi-layered line for the ones on the engine (oil pump onward), and the supply line from the oil tank to the pump is braided vinyl.

You can purchase replacement line from Rhonda- see her post, pinned at the top of the Forum for contact info.

IF you are replacing oil lines- replace the return oil line filters and the inline oil supply filter.

Tensioner spring is one item you could check... lbs/in torque wrench, set to 70 lbs/in. Should click BEFORE it reaches end of travel.
