    Throttle linkage strange angle under cowling

    Does this angle in my linkage normal? I attached a picture.

    Nope.

    Do you have a hotfoot?

    If so, is the IDLE STOP SCREW contacting the hotfoot/linkage when engine returns to idle?

    Yes, I do have a hot foot. I'll have to check how that looks. But sometimes it doesn't completely idle down and I'll have to wiggle to peddle to get it to do so. Not ideal.......

    I would check out the Hotfoot Setup post in the FAQ Section... starting with the idle stop screw, return spring, and then cable adjustment and WOT stop on hotfoot adjustment.

    I personally would REPLACE that throttle cable with a new Platinum series Mercury cable.
