Is it ok to replace hydraulic hose with a cheaper, generic one?

I busted one hose on the gen 1 blades. They sell replacements for $50 - $60 and they're 15' and you get two. I don't need that much length and only need one. Can I just buy generic high pressure hydraulic lines in the correct diameter? I know their compression fittings don't use generics so I just wanted to check before going to shops around town looking for a generic replacement.

As long as the new line meets or exceeds the psi rating of the oem you'll be fine.
