Louisiana….. anywhere around New Orleans…. Venice is probably the best but hopedale, Delacroix, Lafitte are all good… lil bit further from New Orleans and golden meadow, leeville, grand isle are good but the first few i mentioned are better bets…. Venice is hard to beat…. Get the right guide and you can get on redfish and bass, and speckled trout.. or just bring a pole and catch bass at the dock if you stay your nights in the marina area…

I’d say come stay here and I’ll put you on redfish in my backyard but I’m not guaranteed and I don’t have a big boat right now.. just my lil 14 footer..

Venice Fishing lodge in Buras La. Is only place I’d go. Every trip has been excellent, fishing, food and lodging is 5star.

I strongly urge either SW or SE Louisiana. Venice or south of Lake Charles on around Calcasieu Lake. Research and call. #1 question is best time of year to book. You can catch them year round, but there will be 2,3,4 months of the year that are pretty consistent every year to be epic and as close to guaranteed as fishing gets. You'll probably quit before the fish epic because of good day will leave your ribs bruised.

I have been here here several times and they have always been great. I have not been since the hurricane that flooded the lodge but the food and atmosphere was always top notch.

Any of the guides in Rockport Texas can put you on Red Fish. That’s their money fish. You’ll get bored after few of them. They just pull and pull. Give me a speckled trout all day over Red Fish…the good news is Red Fish are amazing on the grill or fried.
