2013 Z522 surge brakes back up locked and backup lights don't work on trailer

My truck is a 2024 Ford F150 Lariat with Max tow. I was backing into my garage and the surge breaks locked up. It does not appear that I'm getting power out of my trucks 7 round connector. Can't find a backup light fuse on my 2024. 2021-2023 had one. My back up lights work on my truck even when the boat is hooked up. All other things on boat work. My first question is if one of the backlights on my trailer is bad(bad bulb) will that keep power from being sent to the surge brake solenoid and the other back up light? I need to know this before I get after Ford for changing their wiring. I did read that there was a problem on Ford trucks 2012-2023 and changing the fuse helped. My 2000 Expidition Backup was connected to the cruise drive fuse. LOL! How do you check to see if the solenoid is bad? Oh the fuse box model that Ford gave me is different than the 2021-2023.

If you have a short in the reverse wiring (purple or blue) or a shorted reverse light bulb, you will either blow the fuse or the system will fail to operate (back up).

Look for a trailer fuse box or section in your truck. A blown fuse is probable, but the cause should be found.

Likely the power is not coming from the truck or you have a problem at the connector in the five way. Does the truck have reverse lights without anything hooked up? If not, you blew a fuss

The solenoid, you can likely feel it when you hook the power up it clicks and dumps the pressure so you can back up. you could touch the solenoid or close to it and have somebody put it in out of reverse if reverse lights on the truck work it should make the solenoid click

my truck has reverse lights with and without the boat hooked up. Per my truck and new fuse boxes they don't have a reverse light fuse. ??? When I do the factory ( new with ford. ) check trailer lights all show good but the reverse lights. I put a small test on just the 5 hook at just the truck it does not show any power at the middle pt on the truck connector. Need my info before I have my talk with Ford. I have waranty?

I believe you should have a fuse for trailer reverse lights. Check fuse #12 under the hood. Might be something on the trailer tripping it.

You were right. I found the fuse #63 in a 2024 Ford F150 different name and not the same as 2021-2023. Now it only controls the 7x5 output with the backup lights. They still work on the truck good or bad fuse. Must be a change in software in the truck
