    Cracked trailer crossmember

2024 xpress backtrack trailer cracking around bunk bracket. Should I drive 10 hours round trip to the factory to have it fixed under warranty or just take it to a local welder and have it fixed. You would think a year and a half old trailer would not have these issues. Thanks

Take it to a local welder. Have it repaired and plated correctly. Might as well do the other side as it will shortly follow. You never weld vertically on a frame web. Not surprising with Backcrap trailers. Cj

Thanks for the reminder. Need to look mine over close again. That said, I live about an hour from the factory and would still have a local welder fix that.
