    Lee Corso Retiring

I just saw on espn college gameday's instagram that Lee Corso has retired from the cast of college gameday.

I wish him the best in retirement!

The last 3/4 years were probably 3/4 years too many for him, IMO. However, I remember watching CGD every saturday morning as a kid and I always enjoyed his mascot selection bit. Combine that with the ncaa football games, he represents a lot of good things from my childhood.

Its going to be interesting going forward in the realm of college football for sure...

It’s definitely time to say Goodbye it’s been a long run for Mr Corso.

Good for him. It has been time. Herbie is probably going to cry on air again.

Great career and a lot of great moments. It was time to hang it up though. Wish him the best going forward.

August 30th will be his last show which will probably be the first College GameDay of the year. I'm sure they will give him a big, well deserved send off.

Maybe Herbie will put on a Lee Corso head. Would be “fitting”

He was coaching at Louisville when I was in school. Never saw him without a big smile.

Definitely stayed on too long... 10 years maybe a stretch but he's been propped up the past couple years at least, sometimes painful to watch, tbh. Well deserved retirement, at least...finally.

That cat has been at it a long time. I didn't realize he was that old.
