I have a Nitro Z20 bass boat that I clean thoroughly after every trip, so I’m very familiar with its condition and tend to notice any new marks or damage. After recently taking it to Bass Pro for trailer bunk replacement—where the boat was lifted—I noticed a new crack that wasn’t there before the next time I took it outBoat crack.jpeg.
Is this something I should be concerned about? And what steps should I take moving forward?
stress crack that most likely ends under the nav light at a mounting screw. It's cosmetic but if you do decide to have it repaired, make sure they grind it, lay new csm, and spray new gel. Dremeling out the crack and filling it with gel will reappear down the road.
Pretty sure Bass Pro did that with the hoist, or the way they lifted it off the trailer. Have you asked them if they would repair it? Not gonna lie, I would be a bit heated about it.Originally Posted by GoneFishingLTN

To be fair it could be a total coincidence. I've had a few stress cracks appear on my boat, one by the trolling motor one on the side of the hull, and I doubt I noticed them right away even though I wipe my boat down at the ramp every time.
