2000 johnson 225 HO opinions

I'm going to look at a 2000 225 Johnson HO Monday any one have any opinions thoughts or concerns about these motors things I should look for any thoughts would be appreciated the seller told me he replaced the lower unit last year I dont know why yet if it locked up or he hit something with it and maybe damaged the transom its on a 21 foot Triton Thanks Steve

is this motor going to have one cylinder DETUNED from the factory or all cylinders supposed to have the same compression or within 10 lbs of each other I'm going to do a compression check before I buy ??

Nope all should be the same.

let me know if you don't get it, I have the same motor and just lost the powerhead and need to repower.
