Water Pump - Use at the Lake

Who can recommend a good water/sump pump so I can connect a hose and use it to have water to hose down my dock?

There are probably a hundred small mud dabber nests up in the roof of my dock and I want to use some water to power wash them away.

I have been using a well pump from Vevor that i put in a 5 gal bucket with holes in it to keep a lot of the sand out. Use it to water my lawn, and going on three years now so far so good

Just a self priming sprinkler booster pump would be your least amount of headaches for pulling out of the lake. CJ

I've been using a Harbor Freight submersible pump as a pond fountain for years. It has a cast iron impeller. Just plumb the outflow port to accept a hose pipe and either drop it in the lake or attach it to the side of the dock.
There's lots of decaffeinated brands that are just as tasty as the real thing.

    Hi Mike.

hang it from the dock, don't let it sit in the bottom of the lake..

I use a 1 hp pump from Harbor Freight that comes with a pressure tank. You will have to buy the pieces of PVC and such that go into the lake but we runs ours for days at a time to run a sprinkler in various gardens.

Ryobi has a really simple solution. Doesn't make a much power as a true pressure washer, but it makes more than a standard hose. Just drop the pickup over in the lake. Runs on drill batteries.

Depending on the brand you go with, it's always a good idea to check how their customer service holds up. I had some experience trying to get help for my Shark equipment recently and used this resource: https://shark.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html. It gives you an idea of how responsive the company might be in case anything goes wrong.

I found a well-reviewed handheld one on Amazon that uses Makita batteries, going to try it. If it works great, if not I'll send it back. I saw the Dewalt, kinda pricey and doesn't fit in with my Makita tools.
