    Samsung Dryer issue

My GF has a Samsung dryer Model DV40J3000EW/A2. It stopped working. It's a rather simple looking dryer with a dial and a few push buttons. When you turn it on, all the lights on the selector panel except 60 blink. If you initally turn it on you can turn the dial and the light indicator follows the dial knob. When you hit start it runs for about 10 seconds and then stops. Then the selector light stops following the knob. The motor is not bad. I checked all the snap switches they all read continuity.

The blower motor was clogged up with lint. The bottom of the motor fan and the bottom of the dryer were wet. She has a bad habit of overloading dryers and the result is usually a ball of wet clothes that won't dry.

I cleaned the blower fan and the rest off the components that were full of soggy lint and reassembled it. A circuit board is $125. Anyone have experience that could guide me in whether I should order the board or a new dryer?

When my basic Maytag dryer didn't start it ended up being the $10 thermal fuse. If your Samsung has an overheat sensor maybe check that out.

YouTube “problems with Samsung dryers” that’s how I fix everything, just put the circuit board in a ge fridge.

    You probably already did this.

Were you able to fix it, or did you end up getting a new one? When we had issues with our dryer, we called a guy from washer and dryer repair services https://expertappliancerepairco.com/...-dryer-repair/, and he was actually really helpful. He came out pretty quickly, diagnosed the problem right away, and had the parts on hand to fix it the same day. It saved us a ton of hassle (and money) compared to buying a new unit. Definitely worth looking into if you haven’t already

I had a Samsung and know several others that have had Samsung. My dryer was a nightmare! Did all I could to get it operational, then took it to the side of the road. I'll never own another Samsung appliance.

Seems to be a common theme with Samsung appliance's.

Samsung is Chinese for “New control board”.

We use to love Samsung. Had the TV's, BlueRay, Surround Sound, Washer, Dryer, etc.

The only Samsung left in our home are the washer and dryer and they have been nothing but issues (like the rest of the Samsung chit we had). Will never own another Samsung anything.

With all the panels off so you can see the internal parts turn it on and see if something gets glowing red real quick that will be your problem. Different brand of dryer but that's how we found it.
If professionals who's careers depend on catching fish use FFS then that's what I'm using. Might be too simple of a philosophy but makes sense to me.
