Shouldnt be any issue as most everyone runs their regular garmin/lowrance ducer with it including myself.

I misread your original post about using the built in ducer. Yes, you can use the built in ducer with your unit. You would need the adapter cable. From reading the Garmin website, it looks like you will need these two cables -
Garmin 8 pin to 12 pin: https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/511579/
MK US2 cable: https://minnkota.johnsonoutdoors.com...4-garmin-8-pin
MK extension cable: https://minnkota.johnsonoutdoors.com...ble-mkr-us2-11
The next thing is those two cables may be to short to reach from the head of trolling motor to back of unit. So you may also need the extension cable....
In the end, i'd suggest running the Garmin transducer that comes with the unit, as you will get sonar/side vu/clear vu, which is will be better than the universal ducer that is only sonar.

I would ask WayneP in Humminbird forums which transducer to select
First of all the US2 adapters that the moderator posted will not work with the DSC transducer. Have to use the correct DSC Garmin adapter that matches the unit's transducer port. DSC stands for Dual Spectrum CHIRP.
US2 stands for Universal Sonar version two which is 83/200 kHz.
The adapters are listed on the Minnkota website accessory page. Page two has a couple DSC adapters for Garmin--
Page 2: Accessories - Trolling Motor - Minn Kota
Do not know what Garmin's frequency settings are.
DSC is tuned for 140-240 kHz and is Low-Q CHIRP rated which is true CHIRP and not just chirping a regular 83/200 kHz piezo (Cheap CHIRP).

Maybe I should just get a Transducer from Garmin Seems like a lot of uncertaintyon if it will work

Ya I knew the built-in Dual Spectrum transducer is different than the built in US2. I figured Wayne would know :).
