Transom saver for 2024 250 SS...

I was told by a mechanic at the dealer that I wasn't supposed to use any transom saver (like DD26 or similar) because they damage something on the trim rods. Said only one allowed is a traditional one that braces against the trailer. I don't believe this is true since I know all of the Suzuki pros run a DD26 or similar. Do you guys know of any other ones that I can use? They said they were designed to just not use any transom saver. Thanks in advance!

Do you have the one with the digital controls or mechanical gear box? I have the DD26 transom issue and have zero issues with it. Older transom savers like the moto stick you had to be careful because it would break a grease zero on the port side. Personally, I’d use a transom saver and not worry about it.

That's what I figured. I'm trying to find a great deal on the DD26.

It's your money, but if you ever have a warranty issue with the motor or take it back for service it seems like you are taking a chance if you have that DD style support on it.
