    Adding NMEA 2000 Humminbird Solix G3

    Help needed. Can someone tell me what all is needed for me to install and operate NMEA 2000 on my Console Solix 12 G3? Item and part numbers out be very much appreciated. I will only be installing it on the 1 unit not sharing. Thank you and any help.

    NMEA2000 does not supply any data, it is just a network. What data input do you want NMEA2000 to connect to a SOLIX ?????

    RMP set me up connecting my sho to a solix with the nmea starter kit. All the parts said lowrance but they are fit up and it works well.

    Looking to pull all motor data, tilt/trim, rpms, speed, fuel, fuel efficiencies, fuel psi, water psi, temp. Will run this on my console solix while running.

    Its just a nmea starter kit, a wire to connect the nmea to the unit, and the yamaha wire. Hardest part is pulling the wire from the motor through the rigging hose into the bilge area. The rest is really simple. I think all in I was under $200 in parts.

    Thank you for that info. I was looking at the Humminbird support site and they are showing I would need to purchase a "SmartCraft Gateway" at $650.00.

    From what I have read and been told a Gateway is not required. Just a Yamaha interface cable.

    Yep totally confused now on what all is needed. Is the gateway needed or just Yamaha interface cable? Again, I have a 2011 Mercury OptiMax ProXS 250.
