150 Boat tournament at 30 boat ramp

Why would anyone have a 150 boat tournament at a ramp that only has 30 parking spots ?

I wish I knew the answer to that. Around here they have 150 boat tournaments on a 2400 acre lake which is insane.

Is there not any secondary parking? We've had 400 boat tournaments here before with only about 50 parking spots but there's secondary parking that easily handles 400 or more.

Doesn't seem very bright if it was known that there'd be that many entrants.

And I especially appreciate the satire in such a question being posed by someone who goes by 'logjam'.

This is a direct result of "grow the sport" but the playing field stays the same size.

that's probably going to be a logistics nightmare and give unnecessary opportunities to several local thieves.

I thought the purpose of the weigh in permit you're supposed to get from NC Wildlife was supposed to prevent things like that. When I talked to the lady a few years back she said they're not supposed to issue permits for more than 80% of the parking spaces at the ramp; so 24 in this case.

Sounds a lot like Lake Bruin in LA. In January there will be 5-7 clubs all fishing the same weekends and launching out of a ramp built for 20 boats and hardly any parking.
There's lots of decaffeinated brands that are just as tasty as the real thing.

    Hi Mike.

That gives every boat their own 16 acres to fish don’t suppose there are ever any on the water disputes over fishing spots.
