etec 200 ho rpms

hi everyone,
I have been a visitor to this site since 04, but this will be my first post, so here it goes and thanks in advance for ant info.In 05 I bought this boat and motor new and getting the max. 5800 rpm was no problem. In 07 the power head popped, the dealer replaced the power head which is under warranty, after getting it back the enginge runs smooth but it will only turn 5400 rpms,and have been running this new power head regularly for the past 2 years, so it should be well past the break in, but still can only get 5400. I checked the jack plalte height to see if it was moved, but it was the same.I tried adjusting it more to get to 5800, but no luck. Can I check the throttle cable for wot,or does that require the use of a computer?anyone have sugesstions for other possible solutions?thanks again.

Hi, did you get a fully dressed powerhead, including injectors?
Is it possible that your dealer swapped powerhead without updating the EMM with the correct injector data? To check this you need to run the diagnostic software and check the injector serial numbers against those stored in the EMM.

Are you sure that all cylinders are running?

im not sure what they put back on,i didnt ask. i did adjust my throttle cable and got a little more on the linkage arm, maybe this will help, will run it tomorrow.

isn't the engine set to double oil for a period of time . then it reverts back to normal once it get to certain # of hours at a certain rpm????

im not sure how many hours it has been ran,i dont have an hour meter.but have used it a lot in the last 2 years.

You may be running your motor to far below the pad. I would try raising it and watching rpm's, water pressure, and speed. What water pressure are you getting?
