Topic of the day..Your secret lure ever pan out??

I've come up with a unique combination of saltwater lure and freshwater plastic that I'm sure will catch tons of fish. I have to order the pieces from different retailers and the wife is getting tired of the UPS truck in our driveway every day. Keep in mind that I have never had the chance to actually test this lure. (no revelations of this lure until AFTER the Rally) Have any of you actually ever concocted a lure that the experts overlooked? If so, what was your success rate vs their storebought cousins?

Im not so sure there is secret lure anymore...Heck i have thought from time to time that i had the right crankbait, get to the tournament and everyone is fishing it.........

I know there are no secret spots on Kerr, everyone talks...

But if you want to send me a picture of that lure, I promise to keep it to myself...

I was fishing a worm on a ball head jig head up north long before it became known as a "shaky" head rig.

Have a few little secret baits I have concocted that have panned out and alot more that have not. Still fun to try and come up with something.

Heck most of the super secret stuff used now adays is just older stuff that we forget is out there...

The newer baits are great, but the older poes, and such are killing them........

Was your "shaky head" rig outfishing the locals conventional stuff? If so, did you closely guard your secret?
If my setup produces, I'm sure I'll share it. (after I buy stock in one of the manufacturers) I'm just curious in what percent of our "secrets" actually produce more bites

As I spend these winter months just only able to think about fishing. My little mind thinks up new combos and techniques. Some might work, most probably won't. But if my bait can make me half as good of a fisherman as you, then I'll be pretty darn happy. Probably wont pan out, but it does give me something to think about
