my daughter keeps stealing my fish Part Deux

Its windy out on Joe Pool Lake nestled in between Dallas and Fort Worth, just miles from the house. We're meeting the oldest and her fiance for dinner at the Oasis, a restaurant at the marina and while we wait for them we try out the lake. Moms with us and I have caught 4 or 5 with some slot fish and poor Tiffany hasn't had a nibble. Poor girl. We move out to deep water and the 20 mph wind is making it hard to feel anything and I catch a good slot and a bitty and then it happens......AGAIN

I caught the most fish but nobody cares. I'm getting used to it. Its pretty cool though because next Monday Mom and I are taking Tiffany to Florida to do a stint at Disneyworld. She is giving up this semester at college in her quest to become a graphic artist.

    HOLY FREAKIN' CRAP!!!!

She should guide for a living! I'll fly out to Texas and pay good money to learn how to catch'em like that!

A lot of people will fish for 20+ years without catching one like that, and she has nailed 2 in short order! Great job!!!

Re: my daughter keeps stealing my fish Part Deux (Hardcore)

Ok, yesterday our last trip and we only had half a day. The lake was rough with wind and many boats out. The fishing was slow and we had only had a few fish. Our tackle was limited and only one spinnerbait. A white penetrator 1/4 oz willow leaf. Most of our fish had been coming on plastics.

Fishing under the bridge around noon and in 18 feet of water my goofy daughter was dropping the spinnerbait to the bottom along the support pillars. Would slowly crank the bait for about 5 feet, let it fall and do it again. She caught the big fish again with a 5 1/2 to 6 just under 21 inches. A great way to end the day and I know she will remember that fish too.

We're off in a minute to finish moving my oldest into her new home(second trailerload) and then we'll pack up to leave for Florida.
No room for tackle in the car so I told her if she finds a place to safely fish I'll send her some rods/tackle.
The truck fuel would run 450 dollars. My Jetta TDI will do it for 180. Guess what we're driving.
