Vaporlock from gas tank?

I figured I would ask here first before the Yahama board and see if anyone has had the same issue. I have a 2017 Bullet with a Sho on it. Something is happening only at certain times and I'm trying to figure out what is going on. The motor seems to be starving for gas after get on plane. It will surge and idle down. The first two times it shut off. This last time I knew what was happeneing and jump up and pressed the bulb and then it ran fine after. It has happened three times over the last two years. Twice in the last month. Always when it hot and humid. I believed it has happened only when i have a 1/4 tank or less. First I thought it was the bulb slid behind the tank but after the one last month I made sure the bulb couldnt slide down adn stayed on top of the tank. I thinking it is issue with the vents. Anyone have anything similar happen?

If your bulb ain’t staying tight, it’s time for a new one. That will affect your running bigtime. That alone can mess you up.

If there is a check ball in the top of the fuel pickup at the tank, knock it out!

What they said plus when it does it try opening the fuel cap listen for suction, just throwing it out there maybe the vent is plugged ,

Def check what was said above. But also check how your fuel line is running from the tank to your motor. if you have it in one of the hard plastic sleeves. I have had issues with the fuel line getting pinched in between battery cables and all the other cables running together and every blue moon at certain trim points the fuel line would get pinched and starve the motor of fuel

And you might just want to go ahead and change out all the fuel line/bulb. I had my sho put on in 2014 (with all new fuel lines). and around 2020 I had to pull the tank for maintenance I noticed the fuel line was in BAD shape internally it look brand new still on the outside but the inside was breaking down extremely bad real rubbery/gummy inside I always run fuel treatment and fish every weekend so bad fuel line was not on my radar far as maintenance goes but that ethanol is some bad junk!
