Water Pressure on a 1996 Evinrude Intruder 150hp

I am getting a new water pressure gauge. (My old one the arrow fell off inside the glass)

Curious at Idle in my back yard with a hose, just in testing the gauge and all, it should show at least maybe 1-5 lbs of pressure right?

And what about WOT ??? I have noticed all the 30lb gauges are set to where 15 is in the middle and highlighted or notated, does that mean 15 is a good mark to be at ?

Thanks. Know nothing of water pressure other than motor needs to be peeing.

It might show some presure on garden hose, mine will show maybe 1 or 2 lbs nothing much. As far as WOT I am thinking 18lbs is close to the min. you want. 15 lbs sounds a little low to me.

I have a 96 model and on the muffs it will show right at 9 lbs and wot it is running about 25. My pad to center is set dead on 3.0 inches. Readings were from week ago after new pump install..........................Roger

Got the new one installed and shot right up to 9lbs of water pressure.

(I had a new Impeller installed late last year.)
