    Oil light

    i have a 150 Johnson i will be running down the lake and all of a sudden the no oil light will come on and i stop and shut down the motor and it is fine for a while then it will go off again any help is appreciated

    Verify oil consumption, it could be the oil flow sensor on the pump flaking out.

    I have the same issue with my 150. It is a 2001 ficht. The oil light comes on and will actually put the motor in SAFE mode. All I have to do is turn off the motor and turn it back on and the light goes away. Oil consumption seems fine since this has been going on for sometime and I keep adding oil.

    What oil you running in the Ficht? The dino oils don't flow very well in the cooler water temps. I would switch to xd-100 for the colder months. JMHO

    A carb and a DFI have two different oiling systems.

    Thanks. I didn't realize that he had a carb motor. I run XD50 year round. I'll try switching to 100 to see if it makes a difference.

    went out yesterday it didn't do it maybe because it was so cold before was why it was doing it thanks for the help
