right until you get to the back side of that island, then its shallow. It's good right to our house.![]()
don't recall seeing an Island, hard to sight see when you run a Mercury. I can tell you exactly where I hooked that fish on the frog though.![]()

I'll have to go throw some trees in the boat run to keep you out...
you don't need to do anything to discourage me any more than I am. The fishing SUX, I'm talkin it ain't even fishing anymore it's BEGGING.![]()
Just can't figger out this end of the lake I guess. I caught one fish today and GB had one bite. We got maybe 2 spots we can catch some fish EARLY and the majority are swimmers or Kentuckys. I've jumped off two decent (4lb..?) fish on a football head jig the last 3 mornings and that was almost like success.
June has typically been a good month for us but it's very disappointing right now.
by the way the frog fish was in about 6' of water and when I looked towards the bank there were some large pine trees up there

That narrows it down. The fishing sux because you're fishing in the daylight....

I'll buy that and reckon I'll just wait til Fall to catch some fish.If I were able to splash here at the Park I'd fish at night. Hate to leave my pickup in the woods at the Mounds. They's some slick critters around here and they been known to steal the music and leave yer radio.

I know you cover a lot of ground and when you struggle doing that I know it's tuff. Talked to 2 different guys at the White Oak ramp this week and they are singing the same song as me. Hard to find the better fish. Can't do nuthin but get better, right![]()

It has to get better or I hope so anyways.
After the weekend I had the only way is up now. Friday started off rough, blow out on the way to the lake, broke a brand new rod that wasnt even 24hrs old and then ran out of gas on the lake.
And then to top it off Saturday after only weighing in a single 4lber, my co-angler decides that a $20 is enough for gas to give me. People these days.
It's been tough for me too. I usually whack em pretty good in June at night, and I only had one good night this month. They are not where they would normally be found. The low water has moved them. But you can bet your azz somebody is gettin em.
If it wasn't 129* I would have looked for y'all place by water Charlie. I ran back there to find GB and he had already left and went to 6 mile. I "think" I run back there to the last buoy, fished the South bank headed back East, throwed the frog out of boredom and had one jump on it but never hooked up. I was looking East at a LONG pretty point that looked like somebody mows it. ???

Well, how you never saw an island is beyond me. Running in from the main lake, you round that pretty mowed point with a 90 degree left turn. Right in front of you is an island (probably looked like the left bank to you) and the buoys run down the right side of it. When you get to the last buoy look 90 degrees right (north) for the green roof boat house.
sounds like I was in the general area, really payin more attention to the depth and the boat road the way the lake is now.
I found a tree bout 1' under in dead nutts middle of a boat road in Mill Creek a few days ago. 18' of water no lessand you know that was just one of many.
