    Repowering Stratos v264

Hi everyone. I'm new here and have a question about my 1991 Stratos v264. The original 1990 Johnson gt 100 motor is having issues and I'm looking to repower it. My research points to an Evinrude etec 75 or 90. I just came across a 2007 etec 115 for a great price. The original maximum hp says 120, so I'm good there but an early 90s carbureted 2 stroke 120hp was likely around 320 lbs. The etec 115 is around 370 lbs.
My transom is in excellent condition.
Is the 115 too heavy or is the hp rating more important?
    Thank you!

if transom is solid I wouldn't worry, lighter than talons or poles-- can get the plates that the engine bolts go through also to spread the load out
