Ultrex iPilot Link to Helix 10 Not Recognized

I recently added a new Ultrex with i-Pilot Link and a new Helix 10 (G4N) to my boat.

The i-Pilot Link for Helix manual says to go to "Accessory Test" to confirm that the i-Pilot is listed as Connected. The i-Pilot does not show up under Accessories; however there is "Trolling Motor v1.430" listed as an Accessory.

The i-Pilot Link Remote and Foot Pedal seem to work just fine on the water.

I initially checked the Accessory Menu in my garage, and it when "i-Pilot Link" didn't display, I thought maybe the trolling motor might need to be deployed, but I tried checking on the lake with it deployed and it still didn't display.

I have the cable that came with the trolling motor and purchased, and added the adapter cable that Bass Pro said I needed, and double-checked the connection, and it appears to be okay.

    Any suggestions?

I'm pretty sure that the Trolling Motor you listed is all you will get, not an entry for "Link".

Do you see the menus relating to the Link on you Helix(You may want to download the manual for Link/Helix. I will look for the links to them. Bob

Thanks - I have the manuals downloaded from the Humminbird website, and printed i-Pilot Link for Helix.

I don't see the i-Pilot menus, for example after confirming under "i-Pilot" under Accessories, the manual says to configure i-Pilot with the Control Head. To select Accessories, then i-Pilot Settings and then right cursor key, but since I don't have i-Pilot listed under Accessories, I don't have that option, and if I try the right cursor key by the "Trolling Motor" Accessory, nothing happens.

You might want to check the “Mode”, I believe it is either angler or custom. Some options don’t appear when set on angler. Don’t hold me to the exact verbiage, but the default is the simpler menus(less choices). Bob

Was paging through and the only thing not mentioned was all your pieces and parts will need the latest Update levels. I am hoping someone more familiar with Helix will chime in.

Trolling Motor listed in the Accessory Test menu means it has been recognized as connected at some point. When it is actively functioning, the LINK software version is shown and CONNECTED is displayed.

Trolling Motor will also be listed as a GPS source in the Network Source menu. It used to be iPilot LINK but was changed during one of the latest updates.
