School me please: typical temps and pressures on Merc 175 pro xs 4s

out yesterday breaking in my first 4 stroke and I noticed some interesting readings on my small merc guague. Did not notice any problems and this is more of a learning question.

air and water temps yesterday about 58.

My idle temp on 4s was 150 range which is same as old 2s merc. While on plane the 4s was reading about 134 coolant temp while the old 2s would have been around 105. Made me ask what is the difference? My oil temp was about 215 running but I have no reference on this number.

Water pressure- my indash guage showed ~15 running hard but both pressure readings on small merc guage were much higher. I'm stumped on this one. I could not read the guage well without readers so don't recall which one was water pressure but both numbers were much higher then 15.

    any thoughts?

Thanks, I'm totally confused as the post marked Jan 2023 by the mod says to me that this forum is fine for newer motors.

David- you would have to provide a link to that post. I'll move your post to the 4-stroke forum (ALL fourstroke models go there).

This engine uses thermostatic control at higher RPM's as well, unlike your Optimax did.

Smartcraft pressure readings should be very reliable, HOWEVER, your ProXS would have required an additional sensor to read Block (water) Pressure.

My 2024 Pro XS 175 runs 13-15 at anything above 3k rpm, per my analog dash gauge. This was a repower in August and my 1997 EFI 175 read about the same. Water temp always stays between 130-140. I need to add the oil temp reading to my VesselView app.

All your number look pretty close to mine, (I have a pair of 200s),
