Trim screw again - just my story

Having read the previous posts, and in the spirit of one engine per thread, here's my 200 4 stroke story. I immediately marked the head with a sharpie when I found out about this issue. Things went fine for a while. Last weekend I checked, and the line was no longer horizontal. I put a wrench to it, and got about 3/4 of a turn(maybe more-can't remember). Nothing bad happened after two trips and the line hasn't moved again. I thought about removing it and applying locktight, but I know nothing about how the cross piece is supposed to be orientated, and since the black line did not come back to the original orientation when tightened, I was afraid I was not back to the original indention or whatever. My self-rated handyness score is roughly 3/10.

So, I call my dealer first thing Monday morning. I was told I had to bring the boat in to pull hours and then another trip for the install. To avoid two trips, I am just ordering the part myself which my dealer agreed to. So, you guys may want to check ahead to see about the potential two trip thing, as I know many of you are not exactly close to the dealer. If your dealer already has the part, this may not happen, but mine did not.

There is no "requirement" for two trips. However, if a dealer doesn't have the parts in stock, and is doing a Pre-Authorization, they will need to inspect and pull the engine hours.

IMHO: If that bolt turns in EITHER direction, consider it disposable and replace it with a NEW one, using RED liquid loctite and torque it precisely to specifications.
