    A "GOOD" Rangefinder App??

What is a "GOOD" rangefinder app that is free that I can put on my Android phone. I always have my phone while bow hunting and have also been carrying my handheld rangefinder I have. It would be one less thing to carry into the woods. TIA

I dont think it exists. If you already have a rf, try the free apps and compare, and if you find one Id be interested to know. But everything Ive see either relies on satellite imagery and gps (not accurate/no visibility in the woods + error on gps is too much for a bow to deal with), or it relies on a very accurate size estimate of whatever you are ranging. I dont think either of those things is realistic hunting.

Ive looked for the range and havent found anything better than using google. I wanted something when I was just out and about judging a distance. Now that ive been trying to shoot longer ranges I find myself always thinking "how far away is that" LOL.

If youre talking bow hunting, the gps in a phone simply isnt accurate enough to judge distance. Its a bit of a moving target but Iirc phone gps is only accurate to within about 5-6 yards. Combine that with even a tiny error in measuring the object in your app and you are off 8-10 yards. If you are only checking your estimates while practicing and cant carry a rf, just measure your pace and pace it off after your estimate, that will be more accurate than your phone over bow range. If you are actually using it hunting past 30 yards or so where a couple-yard error matters you need the real deal.
