    Praying 2008 Vmax Throttle Control

This picture is taken with the engine not running and the throttle handle opened all the way as if you were goin WOT. Is this part of the control 20230925_100357.jpgarm supposed to be making contact with the stop.

I'm guessing it's a carbed motor so looks to me like it should be hitting the stop. If you look at the black plate (that moves the throttle plates) in bottom right of photo, there's a small arrow that likely should be lined up with the pointer below and left of it at full throttle. But like YAM911 asks, he would need the model # to help you more...

The arm is the timing advance. You need to go through the Lync and Sync sequence to make sure your adjustments are correct. It was well described in a previous post on here: https://www.bbcboards.net/showthread.php?t=826681 Other than on the carb itself, the only adjustment for the throttle is directly at the cable clip, round end (motor side) on the cable, and back at the hotfoot or remote box by the console.
