3 and 1 on trolling motor depth not correct??

While fishing the other day my front unit kept showing like 3.4 depth to 4 or so and when I put my 7' rod in the water couldn't touch the bottom, can I adjust that on my carbon and if so how do I go about it to be more accurate???

I would not "adjust" although there is a keel offset adjustment. I would figure out what's wrong. For instance, are the bow and console depths close to each other? How deep is your trolling motor in the water? Were there weeds or algae filled water in this particular spot? Finally, check to be sure that the transducer is being recognized and has been selected as the source for depth.
