Hi men, new knee is coming along good. still on walker and moving slow. Can't get to my puter yet and this lap top is one finger typing all the way. So I have been lurking some on Linda's laptop. Want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers and for my friend Reggie visit at the hospital and his update to you'll. Still have allot of pain in leg and knee, but old doctor gave me some good pills for that. The Operation was a Breeze, but this PT they are putting me though is a killer.
You'll be good I'll be watching in the back ground.

going out to Martha and Skip.
Good to know yer still alive and kickin Ron, well prolly not doin any kickin yet but you will get there. I know yer my elder but LISTEN to me and DO THE PT RELIGIOUSLY! I know it's a pain in the butt, and knee
but JUST DO IT. I did it and never slacked or cheated. I'm a firm believer that it helped me in the long run when I had my hip replaced and it's been over 10 yrs now.
If you half ass it, yer recovery won't be as quick or successful.![]()

My doctor called folks at rehab Physical Terrorisit. Don't know what sounds worse, telling folks you are going to Rehab or Therapy.

I agree with your Dr. Bill. Those guy would of did fine back in the mid-evil times with the black hoods over their heads and holding big double bladed axes.![]()
Troy--Your right about not cheating the PT, I'll stick with it just so I can get out of this walker and back in the boat.![]()
Good to hear from you Ron

Ron,
Troy couldn't have said it better. You've GOT to kick your own ass those 1st few weeks. I've seen folks at day 14 after surgery (good at therapy) leaps ahead of some at 6 months post op that didn't do the rehab. Most important is to get that extension. If you haven't hit the magic number by 3-4 wks it will be tough as hell. Good luck and keep up the hard work.
Tom--What do you mean by "extension" and my PT guy has said nothing about a magic number other than on this CPM machine and they want me to hit 100 on it and stay on it 2 hours at a time 3 times a day, and allot of leg and knee bends.
Glad to hear your doing ok Ron. Get well and don't kick any dogs until the knkee is good![]()
