D-Wave Quantum Inc QBTS • NYSE

I have been thinking in taking a position in quantum computing, which according to my son, who is heavy on computers and computing, is the future comparing it to the evolution of cell phones. I was following Righetti RGTI , but I did not get on that rocket prior to lunch which now I feel that run is topped off.
So, I have been watching D-Wave Quantum who shot up to 11.50 and now has pulled back some.
Is anyone here following or has position in this stock?
What is your thoughts on it?

    Thank you much
    Frank

watch for the bottom, today or Friday and then buy, all tech stocks are falling now due to expected rate increases, the market allways overreacts. take advantage of the dips

I've watch ionQ for the past 6 months and didn't bite. It went from $5-6 then shot up to $50 within 4 months. NVIDIA chairman said these type computer system were 10-12 years out and shares dropped almost $20 this week.... still would have been up over $20 or more per share had I jumped on when I first studied them.

I have done a little research on this stock, and it seems to be 1 of the better ones of this type. QUBT is the other one I would consider. Waiting for some things to clear and buy some shares of D-Wave. Looking at a 5-year time span for it to pan out. It took a while for Amazon or Nvidia to catch on and look at them now. I'm not betting the house but enough to make it worthwhile and not go broke. Using disposable money made from other investments.

None of those companies are turning any profits. The 10-12 year time frame Jensen referred to was the optimistic side of the guess. It could also be 20+ years away, as he also stated (don’t go by just one of his quotes). It is a pure speculation play. People are chasing to try and find the next NVDA, but NVDA was at least a profitable company 2 1/2 years ago. The retail traders might make some of these take off, but there will be no substance to any of their valuations.

With the amount of R&D these companies are spending, it is going to be hard making a profit in the next couple of years, but if you look at who are they collaborating with, it will give you an idea of their potential growth.
