    New 2024 Lexus GX550

    https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a4...s-gx-revealed/

Not that many of can afford a new Lexus SUV, but the point is a lot of the crap design coming from Toyota over the past few years seems to be correcting. Giant ugly front grill is back into proportion (somewhat), back to boxier edges, much better interior with seamless center infotainment and real buttons, etc. Hopefully this extends to their Tundra/Sequoia/4Runner offerings over the next few years.

We’ve really enjoyed our RX350, but my wife is already told me the GX is her next vehicle. I like what I see so far. The Premium+ or maybe the Luxury model is perfect for our needs.

I love it! My next one will be a GX460 or 570 if I can find a clean one.

I so cannot wait for the new designs and see what the new 4runner will be like.

I’m holding out for the Land Cruiser Prada version. I really like the GX550 look, but it’s got HUGE shoes to fill with the reliability of the two previous editions. The Mrs 2016 460 has darn near been flawless for the past 7 years.

They're (GX) going to be made in Japan so hope it's similar to Shimano reels!

The current version has been around since 2010. If Toyota still had a full time 4WD V8 4 Runner we would have bought another. Since they stopped making them and the Mrs just loved her V8 4 Runner we ended up with the Lexus version to get that silky soooooth V8. The biggest downside is Lexus calls for premium fuel in all the GX models. The new one so far is supposed to average 17 MPG with the new V6, which is exactly what our V8 models have averaged with two different V8's covering 170,000ish miles.

Roooof. Wow...what a look. I believe we will stick with our little RX350 F-Sport.
Just be kind to one another. It really is that simple.

I had GX470 and it was POS. I had an RX previously and it was flawless. My GX had the sun roof replaced three times, the entire AC replaced, and the side mirrors replaced multiple times. Also it was affected by side winds when cruising on the highway. And it was hard on fuel.

I kinda like the overtrail. But I'd wager a bet that even 1% of those sold will never see a real "trail"

I imagine many of those 33" tires will be replaced with some low profile ones on spinners
