HDS Pro 12 flush mounted in console 2017 198P

Pulled my flush mounted Carbon 9 and modified console to flush mount a new HDS Pro 12. If anyone is interested I can share photos and give advice and instructions on how it can be successfully done. Allen

Thanks, it took a bit of cutting and notching the fiberglass console. The cowling has been raised by about 2.25 inches to accommodate the taller 12. But after it’s done it looks all factory. It would take a keen eye to notice some of the alterations. The 12 is going to be so much nicer, especially for guest fishing in the back.

I don't think I'd have the courage to cut my console like that but it looks great

That rear cut is completely hidden. I did everything with a Dremel tool while holding a shop vac hose. It took an entire day to cut. Well worth the time to end up with a Pro 12 on the console and a HD Transducer on the Jack Plate. I’m looking forward to becoming much more proficient with the new technology.

I have a 2017 198P and really like the look of your mod. I'll be looking at doing something similar this winter.
