    Skeeter cloudy gelcoat

I have a silver and white 03 Skeeter that was badly faded. I have wet sanded and used protec nu paint moisturizer but the gelcoat is still cloudy/yellow in certain spots. The gelcoat is like glass and the shine is completely back but I can’t get rid of the cloudy/yellowing on the silver. The boat had to be wet sanded alot to get to this part but I’m worried about sanding much more.
Are there any other products that could fix this problem?

I'm in the very same spot. 20 year old boat...over last 3 years I wet sanded twice and use Pro-tec system (which does an amazing job). The flake sparkles like a new boat when sun hits it or under garage lights. However, when you look at it from the wrong angle the cloudiness in the clear gel coat shows and looks like hell. I'm hoping the "glass guys" here on BBC give you some input, pse and thanks in advance. Other that that, it looks like I have 2 choices: Do a vinyl wrap on the top cap, which would prevent it from getting worse. Or, take a chance and wet sand it again (hoping to not go thru to the flake) and repeat Pro-tec or possibly have the local glass expert do a clear coat after. Or, just don't look at it from the wrong angle because it still looks great for its age....

I was told that with mine being silver (almost chrome colored flakes) that it could have been damaged from the inside out.
Meaning it’s yellowed all the way through due to the color being so reflective. This could mean that sanding wouldn’t get it out.
I dont know if this is true or even possible, just a suggestion.
