    Where it all started

many, many moons ago, I caught a 3lb largemouth on an artificial lure, in this Illinois farm pond down the road from my Grandpa's farm. Had to drive by there a couple weeks ago on our visit. God only knows how many steps I took, and how many casts I made on those banks.

The old country Church near the farm, Grandpa pulled the rope and rang the bell in the steeple ever Sunday, I wonder what my Grandpa would think of those big "whirly gigs" standin out in the middle of the corn and soybean fields

Didn't know there was fish in a lake when I was a kiddo. We fished "tanks" and caught alot of fish. I thought lakes were for watersking. Great pics

I just spotted something.... look out on that dock, there's a board layin on it. Guarantee you that is what used to be nailed to the end of the dock for a diving board........40 years ago
