New Laptop

We are back home after being gone for 4 1/2 days. Now I have to get my new laptop and wireless printer set up. Right now we have Grande cable. I called and talked to one of thier techs several days ago and he said all I needed for wireless internet was a router. Will that work?

Grande cable. Thier tech said that was all I needed and our next door nabor Alf has Time Warner and I think a router. Is all I have to do is plug it in and go?

Yea Skip, just go buy yourself a wireless router and it will have all the instruction with it. I installed ours and there was nothing to it, if I can do it you can too because I'm computer challenged.

You should be able to find a router at Walmart, Target or Best Buy. Trish said just follow the instructions and CD that come with it.

Good move there, Skip. Even though they are pretty well plug & play, you'll want to set security up on it where your PCs will be the only ones with access. Otherwise, your neighbors and any low life driving down the street looking for unsecured wireless networks could get into your network and PCs.
