We had the cold & snow up here yesterday ... today is 51 and winds out of NNW 25 gusting to 35 I bet Stomp, WB, Barney and Fats are having a ball out on the water. Not many places to hid from a N wind on HC.

they had a small club tx out of here this mornin, they must have cut it short, by 1230 they had already came in and left. Looked like they were dressed for an Arctic Expedition
I can hear the wind roarin through the pine trees from inside with the TV on

I will tell you a short story. Hubbard Creek sucked big time. Me and Barney got zero bites all day. Very limited on where you could fish. I think 35mph wind is on the lite side.

    Re: Rayburn Snow (Corkpuller)

A few have ventured out today, here at Powell Park. They don't stay very long. Still on & off snow/rain mix & wind. Been here since 1-4-10 and this is the 3th snow, Someone please stop it
This cold wind & snow/rain mix will have to drop the water temp back down until at least late mid-week. I would think when I get up in the morning the water temp would be back to the upper 40s to low 50s.
2 week left before returning to snow covered NW Mo.

    Re: Rayburn Snow (Corkpuller)

That was the worst conditions I have ever fished in, they should have postponed the tx. Wind was gusting to 40mph, I drained my batts about 1:15 and had to call it a day. Had one good fish on a jig, she come off halfway to the boat. Might have got more bites but no way to tell, couldn't feel nothing in that cold and wind. Several guys left before us. Last I Heard 26lbs was leading the tx, somebody found a place out of the wind...

Well, I just came in from checking the boat out. Checked out the water temp 51.9. It'll be in the 40's by the am. About 65 friday afternoon & going down hill since.
