HI - I've read the instructions posted here in changing out the water pump on my 1995 evinrude 150hp intruder at
http://www.bassboatcentral.com/johnrudetips.htm
Any one know which cotter pins I need to disconnect in order to free up the shifter? It was described but there are two pictured here on mine, and also 1 underneath that you can't see. I just want to make sure I do the right thing before I waste a lot of time. thanks guys.
It's a 1995 Intruder E150 ELEOM
here is the text that describes the situation::
remove the cotter pin (small) from the shift
linkage (plastic arm) and the shift lever. Loosen the bolt on the
shift rod bracket the shift lever will now be free and you can slide
it to the left there is a pin that connects the lever to the shift rod.
