Older 17.5 w a 40hp reprop

Used to run 32 only getting about 26-27 now with the prop blades all mangled up from hard use in skinny waters. Looking to reproduce. It I have never been able to find anything stamped on either prop I have. Looking for pitch and or diameter suggestions for such a rig, thanks. Boat 87 model engine 98 force.

Probably about a 12 or 13 pitch. Usually it’s stamped inside the hub area and can’t be seen unless removed from the motor. You can take your prop serial number to a Merc dealer and they can look it up to get the pitch if it’s their brand. If not, any propeller shop can measure it and tell what it is exactly.
