    Deer Season

Is upon us. I still feel like I did when I was a kid loaded in the back of Dad's old Ford with his best friends kids headed to Mason county. Didn't get to go but a couple times a year back them, but it was better than anything else in the world. As us kids got older Dad and his friend Richard would carry a case of beer each, us kids would sip a few before we got to the lease, funny thing was Dad was never to angry with us for that.
Hunting is my favorite thing to do with fishing a close second. I rarely shoot deer anymore but I still love being in the woods every chance I get. This year is going to be special because I moved to the Ranch in June and can hunt 7 days a week if I want. Probably won't but nice knowing I can. Before Dad passed in 03 I got to spend several trips with him on my ranch to return the favor, those were special times that I will never forget.
I guess that's why I wrote this, thinking about Dad and all the deer seasons we spent together.

Yep, a specail time Stomp! My grandparents would actually live on our lease when I was a kid up until I had been in the Army for about 5 years....we always had Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's out there. A lot of good memories. Thanks for the reminder!!

Toni has been feeding the Deer and getting the cabin ready. We gonna sit on the back deck and wait for the right ones to come out. Tough hunting.

Bob, where you been hiding??????? I'll most likely see you in May. I am retiring Dec. 31st. and will need to go walk down the isle with other retirees and hear a little speech.
