Thanks for the Jeff. Hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend. We took the boat out to the middle of the lake and enjoyed a really nice fireworks show. 360 degree video and surround sound.

Morning everyone We had a great visit with our son and daughter-in-law. We went shopping for the babies room and I'm not sure if our son or Martha was more excited. By saturday evening the babies room was done as for furniture. We bought some beautiful stuff for it. The kids were glad that we were there to help them shop and we split the cost of everything with them. Our son told us we didn't have to do that but Martha wouldn't have it any other way. This is gonna be one spoiled little girl when she gets here.

We got 2.4" of much needed rain. It won`t help the lake level much but it will settle the dust. Ron was on the lake marking spots for you to fish this weekend .

Looks like it has come up a little.

It takes a LOT of water to see a significant rise at Ivie. The 1.68" that it has come up today has taken 1600 acre/ft or 521,362,240 gallons ...

Good thing is that the rise started after midnight today and it's still rising.

Just for those that might be interested. Abilene's Ivie water treatment plant currently can process 3 million gallons/day. It would take about 174 days to process that 1.68" of water ...

Now that you mention it ... I think I pulled something!! I did that one time when someone on TFF was ragging about Abilene sucking all the water out of Ivie when our pump station came on line. Wouldn't surprise me if evaporation had a bigger impact than we do. Now take that pump station over north of the dam, there's a big whirlpool out front and a giant sucking sound ...
