Re: Saturday Mud is ready (toledotee)

Good almost afternoon, y'all ... I'll pass on the BBT, but thanks for thinking of us

Been out doing the oil chang thing on the Yukon, then went and picked up the boat and made a quick run to Phantom to make sure it runs after rebuilding the fuel pump. It was pretty rough out there, so I couldn't tell if that fixed my surge or not, but the motor runs and hole shot improved a bit, so I know I did some good.

The only time I felt the miss was at the slower speeds, I thought the holeshot was fine.

Hole shot is better and the surge was around 4000 Rs

I still think it was the fuel pump, but do you reckon its got an air leak in the fuel line or somthing like that that just shows up when its got a bit of a bind on it?

Re: Saturday Mud is ready (FlukenLizard)

Sandy Creek marina changed the hose between the tank and the splashwell and I had already changed the hose from the splashwell and the motor, including 2 fuel bulbs. First one was an Attwood and would never get tight. 2nd was a Merc, and works great. I'll be able to tell once I get on some semi smooth water. It was blowing 20-30 this morning at Phantom, so it was hard to tell how the motor was running. In fact, after 4 attempts at the dock, I gave up and just made a run up the lake about a mile and back. Left the trailer backed in the water with the truck running ... Main thing is, I now know it will run for our club T tomorrow. Next project is new tires then a set of Boysen reeds ...

Id like to put some boysen reeds in mine, but I dunno if I want to do it myself and I definatly dont want to pay somone to do it . I have a set of titans on my trailer and they seem to be doin good, they got alot of miles on them. I had an atwood bulb on mine too, threw it away and got one from dean's marine....I think atwood is junk
