    Planning a trip to FALCON

Me and some guys from work are planning a trip to Falcon lake in Februrary. I was lookin for some tips on lodges where we can stay right on the lake and sit around a camp fire in the evenings and stuff. Also a good guide to hire the first day. And some tips on what works best that time of the year? Whats the weather like that time of year, and is it worth it to buy a Mexico license and fish that side of the lake. None of us have ever been down there so any info will help. Thanks guys.

We're practicing to be like you and Ron.

Oh, by the way Jim, sorry for hijacking your thread. Hopefully Miss Debra has you fixed up. I've seen her on TV fishing Falcon. I don't think you could go wrong if you fish with her.

    Sorry, Jim ...

You always take a chance on that when you drop in here ...

I saw her fishing with Shaw Grigsby on his show at Falcon. Looks like they were into some nice ones...

Man that is just plain wrong Johnny. Now the guy will never come back over here, with you and Reggie showing how sick this place is.

I'll let the wife know you said she doesn't have any teeth. I'll bet she didn't know that.

I didn't say anything about your dear sweet wife. I was talking about the McKnight clan. I better just shut up. I'm probably digging a bigger hole.

Check out the Oso Blanco Lodge, the rooms have kitchenetts, big tv, and very clean. The lodge has two ramps, and a small resturant. Also, its close to some good areas to fish.

Not bad at all, the only thing to really worry about is the wind and if a northern blows in, it can get a little chilly and Big Rollers .

Re: Planning a trip to FALCON (bstannard)

I second that on Falcon Lake Tackle taking care of you. They do everything they can to help you have a successful trip. Debra will put you on some fish and not feed you a line of bull. If she tells you what to use and where to go, listen to her!
