I need volunteers to help at the BASS Elite Series on Falcon Lake

Folks, I'm the volunteer / boat coordinator for the BASS Elite Series on Falcon Lake in Texas. This tournament will take place on April 3-6.

Volunteers are needed to help with the weigh in all 4 days, in addition to 2 people that need to be on standby, ready to fish in case a co-angler does not show.

For the afternoon weigh-ins we will need 10 volunteers per day on Thurs, Fri and Sat and only 5 on Sunday. They need to arrive no later than 4:00 pm to allow BASS personnel time to train them in their jobs.

I need 2 observers on standby to go out on Thurs & Fri just in case a couple of co-anglers don't show up. These are observers, but they need to fish, they just can't bring in any fish. I will brief them prior to them going out.

For those of you not familiar with Falcon Lake this is on the South Texas border.

If you want to do this, please contact me at temple@austinphoto.com.

I'd love to, but I have weekend warrior that weekend. My boat won't keep up with them either. I'll let my buddy know. He has a faster boat.

I'll do the standby for the co angler. I'm like #87 on the waiting list. Give me a shout.

I was on the waiting list of the co-angler side. But, so far out (30 or so) that I just withdrew and asked for my money back. I can be down there to fish as a co-angler with just a phone call. Of course, it would take 7 hours to get there though. I don't think too many people will want to drive that far to just sit there on "standby" and then not even be able to enter the tournament. I bet if they need a fill in for a co-angler, the waiting list could be called and a co-angler could be there that night.

It would cost most people more than $100 in truck gas to drive down there and $100 to get back. Then, the motel expenses and food. I had a feeling that it would be hard to get camera boats that far down there for the amount of $$$ paid. I would love to do it. But, I calculate it would cost me $400 to do it, plus boat gas.

I sure do hope you find the needed people. I know it's hard, but at least you still have some time to find volunteers.
