    Bass Cat year/model number

Curious if you guys know where to find the model number/ serial number of a bass cat… talking to someone about one and unfortunately they don’t know much at all as far as details on the boat and am trying to figure out what year it is and if it’s even worth it being it hasn’t been run in a couple years . Thanks !

You could find the model name on the US Coast Guard(yellow) capacity plate that is placed in the center cockpit area of the boat. As far as the serial number, it is stamped in the fiberglass right rear transom/hull, just under the rub rail, as mentioned. The S/N won't be a metal plate, it is the same color as the rest of the surrounding area of the transom. He may need to take a piece of paper and a pencil and sketch across the paper to get the numbers to show up clearly, because you probably won't get a good phone picture of it.

Awesome, thanks again! I’m assuming it’s a cougar with it having seat storage and it says it’s a 20.5’ boat but iv never seen one that doesn’t have it on the side of the boat on the top cap… Is there a way with an 03 cougar to get hours of the motor without taking it somewhere … didn’t know if that modeled logged it on one of the gauges

Hours on a boat that old is almost pointless.

    Condition is king.

Nobody knows who the boat belongs to.
    What is "that guy" ?

    Ask away.

Is the archive active again? I have the archive page saved as a bookmark on my computer but about the last two months or so it brings up the Bass Cat page but says page not found.

If the boat doesn't have the model id stickers on the side, you could post a couple pics of the boat, particularly the deck layout and I guarantee someone will be able to tell you what it is.

See if these work , it’s a cougar is what the US coast guard sticker says but never seen one without the name on the side … hull looks to be in decent shape and the motor is an 09 but hasn’t run in a couple years
